Arenivaga and Compsodes Photos

My Arenivaga bolliana "Del Rio, TX" have been doing very well, the next generation of adults started maturing out a month or two ago, and they've been breeding nicely so far. 😁

Anyways, I got a bunch of pictures of adult females, a couple of which I photographed side by side with an adult male as well, so without further adieu:

Females

Adult pairs

Interesting how some of the females of this locality come out quite high red, adds for a nice splash of color in this darker bolliana strain. 😄

I'm sure I don't even need to say this, but my Compsodes schwarzi are also breeding extremely well, definitely candidates for some of the best microfeeders on the market IMO, and just a neat and hardy roach overall to keep.

I also got some group pictures of this species recently, which I figured I'd share here:

As you can see in these pictures, some adult males come out with shorter wings than others, it's rather interesting. 🤔 Females are always wingless though.

Well, that does it for this short post, thanks for reading, hope everyone enjoyed, stay safe, and I'll see you all next time! 😉
