Prionotheca Update #3

Hahahahaha... You know that larva from the last post, my second largest larvae, that I took pictures of? It's made a pupal cell as well... 🙃

My third largest larva on the other hand, has just molted, apparently it and the smallest larva were too young to be induced to pupate prematurely by the sudden rise in temperatures while being shipped, and will hopefully keep on growing to a normal size, (much like the two remaining large Pyrophorus larvae I received in my starter group of seven earlier this year, which unlike their brethren that pupated prematurely after being shipped, have now surpassed those ones in size and show no signs of stopping).
Indeed, the smallest Prionotheca larva looks to be about to molt itself, and has constructed a little molting tunnel against the glass, (noticeably different looking than a pupal cell).

So hopefully what's gonna happen is I'll have two very stunted adults, and two normal sized ones, and HOPEFULLY I get a pair out of the four and can breed them, guess we'll see...
