Prionotheca Update #9: The Final Update

Sadly, today while doing maintenance on my collection, I discovered that both of my remaining Prionotheca coronata larvae have died. 😔 I'm not sure why, I found them both near the bottoms of their containers, in the moist areas of the substrate. The substrate around them felt warm, I've been keeping them around 75-77F°, so if they were trying to molt or something, their enclosures should have been warm enough, and the substrate should have been humid enough at the bottom as well... So I'm not really sure what happened, whatsoever. 😢

Quite a disappointing end to this project, I'm so sad I couldn't even rear a single larva to adulthood, let alone breed them as I had hoped to. Maybe one day I'll get to try again, either with a higher amount of larvae, or adults that can produce a lot of larvae to experiment with... But for now, my experience with this species was a big failure unfortunately.
